Hammering in nails confidently like "Bob the Builder", not wimpy like "Elmo".
A "Glop of Glue" (hot glue) in the center of the
board will hold the tile fine.
Painting the frame with acrylic (NOT tempera) paint and
drying it well.
Inexpensive adhesive
caulk works well for
setting tiles for
students but requires
that you know your
way around a caulking
gun!

Getting started by applying three
coats of white glaze.
Using a #2 pencil to transfer the
design to the glaze.
Applying the maiolica glazes to the
raw white LG11.
Sgrafitto is added after the glaze,
then the tiles are off to my kiln in
Rockford for firing.
