GRACIE MAE celebrates her FOURTH birthday with a Romantic Pink Princess cake and her friends from school
Ready for the party -- Gracie with a new dress and hair ribbons, Charlie with a new set of chompers.
Gracie celebrates her birthday June 14 (three days early) on a perfectly beautiful day in Pioneer Park in East Lansing.
Her good friend from school, John the Music Man, is there to entertain and help her celebrate. Momma Genna "won" him for the day in the school benefit auction. He was the main "prize" of "Birthday in a Box!"
. . . . besides his guitar and drums he brings his trombone - just especially so he can play one of Gracie's favorite songs (76 Trombones) from one of her favorite movies ("The Music Man"). Everyone gets to try making a "TOOT".
It's not a party without balloons, cake and presents, all of her friends and all of her "peeps" - Gramma, Grampa and Uncle Ed, Mom, Dad, Charlie and Nana.
Now it is time to light the candles, sing "Happy Birthday", cut the cake and have some treats. Charlie says "No, thanks. I will just work on watermelon!"
"Presents, now, please! Then guest goodie bags! This one from Nana is all pink tissue, I think. Nope, there's a movie!"
After everyone runs, jumps and plays on the really great play structure in the park it is time for John the Music Man to get out his drum and make music for everyone to dance and march. Then everyone line up because . . . . .
"Wow! Sparkly, sequined red tennis shoes! Just like Dorothy's!"
Goodie bags for everyone, and for Charlie and Uncle Ed - a boppy balloon on a rubber band!
"What a great birthday, everyone! I can't wait for next year! (Or for Charlie's next month)
